Barrier Bags – Protection For Dairy Products, Meat Bags, Poultry & Smallgoods Bags

Food bags increase the shelf life of most food products including dairy, meat, poultry, smallgoods and even fruit and vegetables. They come in a variety of different strengths and at Globus we can make custom made barrier bags to suit your requirements.

Last year we installed a new barrier bag making machine in our factory located at Bankstown in Sydney. This new barrier bag machine has enabled us to increase the number of barrier bags we produce. Because the speed at which bags are produced is faster and the sealing more reliable, we can now offer you better turn around times and more competitive pricing for our barrier bags. There are two different types of Barrier bags available, depending on your food product, high shrink barrier bags and high abuse barrier bags.

High Shrink Barrier Bags

Globus “Triplex” Multilayer Shrink Barrier Bags increase shelf-life of smallgoods and food products. There are many advantages of shrink barrier bags, and apart from being strong (able to withstand shipping and handling) they also appear as a food’s second skin, allowing for attractive product displays. The food product often appears to have firmed up in a shrink barrier bag. Shrink barrier bags can be made to your requirements and are available in a number of different strengths.

High Abuse Barrier Bags

High Abuse Barrier Bags (also from the Triplex range) have a high oxygen barrier and are recommended for all food products that require high puncture resistance and maximum strength. These barrier bags are strong and more cost effective because you use less volume of material and have less rejects at the end of processing. High Abuse Barrier Bags are available in several different thicknesses to suit your requirements and have high puncture resistance and excellent sealability.
