Globus increases bag making capacity
Globus Group has recently installed a new bag making machine in its factory located at Bankstown Airport. Globus bags are currently supplied for smallgoods, red meat, cheese, poultry and industrial applications.
Globus’ goal with its relocation was to consolidate its NSW production, engineering and warehousing facilities into a single site at Bankstown Airport. This in turn has increased efficiencies and allowed for more space for new machines.
The new bag making machine has increased Globus’ barrier bag making capacity, increasing the speed at which bags are produced and allowing for bags to be sealed more reliably. The new bag making machine produces bags at higher speeds than older style machines but with improved seal integrity. This translates into a higher quality bag with shorter turn around times for customers. In addition Globus is commissioning a new printing press in mid 2006 to increase the speed and print quality at which printed bags can be produced.
Bags are available in serrated rolls, curve and straight sealed designs. All types and thicknesses of bag can be produced on this new machine.
All in all Globus’ customers now enjoy an even higher reliability of supply, faster response, better quality printed and plain bags and as always unsurpassed individual service from Globus Group Account Managers.
